how can you tell if a guy acts like a jerk? if he has this mood swings. please help
How can you tell if anyone acts like a jerk. If you think someone is being too moody or unreasonable then in your world he/she is acting like a jerk and if mood swings re something you think you can't take then definitely don't consider dating that person. I think you have full right to decide that you can't deal with mood swings if they bother you. I know I could not date someone with violent mood swings or someone who acts moody all the time. I know peopple go through hard times and I'd want to be there for my partner when she is going through those but if they act moody for absolutely no reason then I couldn't be bothered to try and make them happy all the time really.

I'd like to add though that yes, it's your right to decide that you can't deal with his mood swings, but that does not mean that the fact that he has mood swings makes him a jerk. You can only be a jerk for how you take the mood swings out on people, not for having them. Perhaps he's just an emotionally unstable being, or perhaps he's going through some sort of minor or major depression. It doesn't mean you have to stick around, but it also doesn't mean he's a jerk.
LOL. Chris. And, I agree with all posts here, but you in the end have to decide what you can and can't live with. Look at how he treats you in those mood swings.
Having mood swings does not mean he's an eegit have you considered the fact that he may be suffering from Manic Depression and needs help instead of derision...sudden inexplicable mood swings are a symptom of this illness ...
